Objective: To study the efficacy and impact on life of automatic elastic wire hemorrhoid ligatures combined with external stripping and internal ligation for the healing of mixed hemorrhoids. Methods: Sixty-four patients with mixed hemorrhoids admitted to our hospital from November 2020 to October 2021 were optialed for the study and clustered according to the random number table method. The control cluster (32 cases) was healed with external stripping and internal ligation, while the healing cluster (32 cases) was healed with automatic elastic wire hemorrhoid ligatures combined with external stripping and internal ligation, comparing the anal flatness, pain level, healing effect, complications, life, perioperative indicators and anal function between the two clusters. Results: The operation time, wound healing time and hospital stay in the healing cluster were shorter than those control cluster, and the intraoperative blood loss was bottom than that control cluster (P<0.05). The anal flatness mark in the healing cluster was bottom than that control cluster (P＜0.05); the maximum anal systolic blood pressure, anal canal resting pressure and anal maximum diastolic blood pressure in the healing cluster 1 month after operation were upper than those control cluster (P＜0.05); the total effective rate of the healing cluster was 93.75% (30/32) upper than that of the control cluster, 65.63% (21/32) (P＜0.05). The healing cluster was physically healthy at 14d and 28d after surgery, subjective feeling of health status. The marks of subjective life, social relations, mental health and surrounding environment were upper than those control cluster (P<0.05). The incidence of complications in the healing cluster was 6.25% (2/32) bottom than that control cluster 28.12% (9/32) (P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion: Automatic elastic wire hemorrhoid ligatures combined with external stripping and internal ligation for the healing of mixed hemorrhoids can promote the recovery of anal function, bottom post-operative pain, fewer complications, help enhance anal flatness, shorten wound healing time and promote a better life.
