Huang Yanpei’s vocational education thought is centered on “using both hands and brains” and “combining learning with learning” and considers the concepts of “professional equality” and “respecting career and enjoying music”, which meets the requirements of cultivating craftsman spirit in the new era. At present, mathematics in secondary vocational schools tends to be “instrumental” and divorced from professional practice, so it is difficult to cultivate students’ rigorous and realistic craftsman spirit. This study explores the value of this idea in secondary vocational mathematics, constructs the path of “cultural infiltration + project-driven”, transforms mathematics into a tool to solve professional problems, and cultivates the craftsman spirit in “doing mathematics”. Using theoretical construction and case analysis, this paper analyzes the feasibility of improving students’ mathematical application ability and professional identity and provides reference for mathematics reform in secondary vocational schools and the implementation of Lide Shuren.
