Based on the core goal of comprehensive rural revitalization in building a strong agricultural country, this paper focuses on the lack of equity in the diet of rural primary schools against the background of urban-rural integration. By comparing differences in dietary behavior, nutritional intake, and dining environments between urban and rural primary school students, it deeply analyzes the practical dilemmas faced by rural primary schools, such as unbalanced nutrition, hidden food safety hazards, weak dining environments, and insufficient food education awareness. It also reveals the internal connection between these dilemmas and the core requirements of building a strong agricultural country, including high-quality agricultural product supply, equalization of rural public services, and improvement of people’s well-being. On this basis, solutions are proposed from three dimensions: improving standards, empowering industries, and popularizing food education. Aiming to take the dietary security of rural children as an entry point, this paper seeks to remedy shortcomings in rural public services, promote the benefits of building a strong agricultural country to the widest rural population, and consolidate the livelihood foundation for comprehensive rural revitalization.
