Language and writing constitute vital cultural, economic, security, and strategic resources of the nation. With the implementation of China’s Rural Revitalization Strategy, language and writing have entered a new contextual framework and face emerging demands under the vision of Chinese-style modernization. As articulated in the report of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, Chinese-style modernization represents a grand developmental objective, within which language and writing play a pivotal role in advancing rural revitalization.Taking Rhetoric Academy as an illustrative case, this paper explores the practical pathways through which language and writing contribute to rural revitalization under the framework of Chinese-style modernization. Anchored in the value orientation of linguistic and textual resources in supporting rural development, and based on the functional positioning of Rhetoric Academy, this study proposes that such contributions should begin with non-disciplinary education to reduce urban–rural educational disparities; construct rural linguistic think tanks to facilitate e-commerce development in rural areas; and inherit and innovate local cultural traditions to enhance the vitality of rural cultural construction.
