Aims & scope

The journal publishes high-quality research, reviews, and case studies that advance knowledge and practice in public health and disease control. Areas of interest include: Epidemiology and Health Systems (Disease surveillance, biostatistics, health policy, global health, and health promotion); Communicable Diseases (HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, malaria, neglected tropical diseases, respiratory infections, water- and food-borne diseases, vaccines, and antimicrobial resistance); Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) (Cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, cancer, chronic respiratory diseases, neurological disorders, and mental health); Maternal, Child, and Reproductive Health (Maternal and child health, immunization, reproductive health, nutrition, and adolescent health); Environmental and Occupational Health (Pollution, climate change, workplace safety, toxic exposures, and One Health approaches); Emerging Health Issues (Pandemic preparedness, re-emerging diseases, zoonoses, digital health, and global health security); and Cross-Cutting Themes (Health equity, social determinants, ethics, traditional medicine, and community engagement).

Journal of Disease and Public Health (JDPH) is an open access, peer-reviewed scientific journal dedicated to advancing knowledge in all aspects of public health, health promotion, and disease prevention. The journal provides an international platform for researchers, academics, healthcare practitioners, and policymakers to share innovative research findings, critical reviews, and evidence-based practices that address contemporary health challenges. JDPH ensures a rapid and transparent publication process, while maintaining high editorial standards, and offers free online access to all published articles to promote wide dissemination of knowledge. The journal is published on a bi-monthly basis (one issue every two months), ensuring timely communication of new insights, and printed copies are made available to interested authors upon request.
